How to make a magic tap in step by step

Magic Tap - TechonlyMax - DiY

You will need:
  • Tube from an old emergency lamp
  • Plastic tap
  • Small basket
  • Aquarium pump
  • Spray paint / Paint
  • Pebbles for decoration

Let’s get start,

1.Remove a tube from the old emergency lamp.

2.Remove the aluminium cap on the top of the tube.

3.Add some sand into the tube. Add a little water and shake well. This will clean the the fluorescent tube.

(Do not discard this water just anywhere as the fluorescent is harmful to the soil)

4.Remove the aluminium cap on the other side of the tube. Using a screwdriver make a hole and take out the filament.

5.Now let’s paint the tap. Using spray paint is much easier (optional).

6.Once the paint is set, insert the tube into the mouth of the tap. Make sure the tap is one size bigger than the tube. Fix this loosely using glue.

7.Now let’s take the basket. Make a small hole on the side of the basket.

8.Glue the aquarium motor on the centre of the basket (Aquarium motor used to pump the water continously).

9.Cut off the plug of the motor. Pass the motor wire through the hole we made earlier in the basket. Seal the hole using glue.

10.Now fix the tube on the motor. This should fit perfectly. So make sure both the motor and the tube are of the same size before buying it.

11.Fill the basket using pebbles. Use different colours to make it beatiful (pebbles are used for decoration).

12.Fill the basket with water.

13.We are almost done. We only have to add a plug to the motor wire. For that remove the outer layer of the wire. You can see black coloured and a white coloured wire inside. Remove the plastic coating and connect this wire to the plug. Tighten the screw and you are done.

Plug this in and let the magic begin.
